Welcome Back Georges Vanier Families!!

We are looking forward to welcoming our wonderful students on Tuesday September 4th!!

The staff have been in this past week eagerly getting the school ready for this school year.

For our Junior Kindergarten students/parents, you should have received an intake date and time to meet with your child’s educators. This may or may not be September 4th. We look forward to meeting you at that time. Please check your time given. If you have any questions, please contact the school (613-592-4371) if you have any concerns.
Some important information to help with our first day, September 4th:

Senior Kindergarten students will meet their teachers in the kinder yard at 9:05am

Primary Students (grade 1-3), your teachers will be in the primary yard holding up their class lists for you to find your name.

Junior Students (grade 4-6) your morning class lists will be posted on the windows in the junior yard. Please have a look for your name and teacher’s name. Your teachers will be in the junior yard at 9:05 to welcome you.

As you can see from our Website, we have welcomed new educators across all three panels who are excited to be a part of the Georges Vanier team. It’s going to be a great year at GV!

Reminder to our walkers!
Walkers are to be picked up by the kindergarten gate near the parking lot. No child will be handed over to a caregiver/parent at the bus loop. This is for the safety of the children.
The parking lot is closed to traffic as we have students who ride their bikes to and from school. We ask that you continue to respect the safety rules by using the sidewalk with your children rather than walking through the parking lot. This is a good habit to establish early on for our young ones.
PLEASE NOTE: If your child normally takes the bus at the end of the day and you wish to pick them up instead, please write a note in your child’s agenda on that day. Calling the office to advise of a pick up should be a last resort. It can be difficult for the office to let the teacher know as the office is a busy place, especially if you call after 3:15pm. We thank you for working with us to keep the school day running smoothly.

We look forward to a fun-filled year of learning. More information to come about upcoming events this month! Please check the website regularly to stay informed!
